Sandy Coccia began writing poetry and short stories as a child, often as a way of working through a world that didn't always make room for a dreamer. One encouraging teacher changed everything, convincing her to keep making art no matter who told her not to.
Years later, after building a career helping artists and professionals grow their own creative businesses, Sandy returned to the page — this time to tell her parents' World War II love story, which she also brought to the screen as a short film. Today she splits her time between writing, producing film through Rainbow's Edge Films, and chasing down every idea that mixes art with hope.
Every book she writes carries the same thread: that healing happens in community, and that creativity — a poem, a painting, a piece of music, an invention — is often how we find our way back to the people we love.
Explore the BooksEvery character finds their way back to themselves through the thing they make — a poem, a painting, a piece of music, an invention.
No one heals alone. Sandy's stories return again and again to the people who show up for us.
These are stories about real hardship — told so that hope feels earned, not easy.
Through Rainbow's Edge Films, Sandy produces and finances stories built to move audiences — the same art-and-hope thread that runs through every book.
